Kirstie Cleary
Ayurvedic Practitioner, Sex & Intimacy Coach
Over 20 years ago, I fell head-over-heels in love …
I discovered eastern wisdom teachings and fell in love with sensuous ways to care for myself and my intimate relationships. Sensuous means to arouse the senses in a harmonious way.
A deep dive into Ayurveda, Yoga, and classical Tantra revealed three synergistic sciences specialising in sensuous self-care for the body, mind, and soul. I travelled far and wide to study these three modalities, seeking traditions and teachings that uplift the ways we live and love. A self-care practice of gentle detox, nourishment of all the senses, and regular rejuvenation optimises metabolism from the inside out. Embodying love and desire - befriending our body and other bodies - is a deeply pleasurable way to be in life. Embracing our life-affirming somatic intelligence in the realms of sex and intimacy is a revelation. Exploring polarity - the play of the sacred feminine and masculine - reveals the erotic charge underlying all creativity. Real self-care and erotic embodiment - real wellbeing - is a natural and sensuous aliveness available to anyone willing to expand their senses.
I fell in love with a bright new way of being in the world. You can fall in love too.
Personalised self-care.
Life-affirming sex & intimacy.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a holistic medical system that uses a combination of nutrition and practical lifestyle guidance to nourish your mind / body type.
The way you metabolise food, fluid, and life is different from everyone else. Three mind/body types called Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) capture metabolic tendencies towards imbalance. Understanding your constitutional type means you can restore balance.
A focus on boosting digestive strength improves gut health and the health of all the organ systems. A daily routine in sync with nature’s rhythms awakens the body’s natural intelligence.
Ayurveda is a system of self-care for the body. Ayurveda means the science of life and is the art of living joyfully and wisely.
Yoga
Yoga is a system of self-enquiry to integrate all aspects of yourself; the blissful, the challenging, and everything in-between.
While yoga can include practices like meditation, breath-work, movement, and stillness, yoga is about much more than doing sun salutes. Yoga is a call-to-action to observe, explore, and evolve whatever is arising inside you.
We can choose to set limiting stories aside and meet ourselves exactly where we are, as we are. There is no judgement, ever. Yoga is about being simultaneously grounded and buoyantly open to possibilities.
Yoga is a system of self-care for the mind. No yoga mat is required because yoga is about integrating the mind in a healthy way.
Tantra
Classical tantra is a worldview acknowledging that everything is a diverse expression of the Divine - ourselves, our environment, and our spirituality.
Everything in the world is infused with cosmic intelligence, including us. A tantric perspective is to consciously, skilfully, and lovingly navigate the finite world of duality (objects) while knowing that our essential nature is non-dual and infinite.
Living from a tantric understanding is to honour the intimate connection that all beings share. Knowing that our shared essence is love, we can choose to make love to life; life moving through us … as us.
Tantra is a system of self-care for the soul; it is a deeply life-affirming way of being in the world.
Note: Tantra is not a religion or limited to a sexual practice.

SANKALPA
An intention, a vow, a promise.
San – to be born from the heart.
Kalpa – to unfold over time.
My sankalpa is to share how sensuous self-care uplifts the ways we live and love.
Weaving sensuous self-care practices into our lives is a pleasurable way to embed healthy new habits and skills. If something feels pleasurable, we are likely to desire more of it and to do more of it.
Eroticism is its own unique dimension of self-care; tending exquisitely to our intimate life and embodying our sexual essence is to deeply celebrate our aliveness.
We can be intentional about living this way. It’s a choice that we make over and over again.
While some of what I offer will have immediate results, must sustainable change takes time, curiosity, and courage.
A willingness to be playful. A commitment to show up.
